Bushfire Programs

If natural disasters are widespread and extremely severe, the NSW and Australian Governments may jointly announce the provision of grants. Such grants rely on the declaration of a natural disaster.

Natural disaster recovery grants provide immediate relief to eligible primary producers, small businesses and non-profit organisations, for clean-up and restoration costs in the aftermath of extreme natural disasters.

RAA administers these grants under the joint Commonwealth and NSW government funded Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) 2018.

NSW residents who have been impacted by natural disaster are encouraged to report damage via the Department of Primary Industries' Natural Disaster Damage Survey.

Natural Disaster Relief Loans

Concessional loans are made available to primary producers, small business operators and non-profit organisations in declared Local Government Areas (LGAs). Applications for assistance must be lodged by the application close date on the Declarations webpage.

Transport Subsidies

Transport Subsidies are made available to primary producers and non-profit organisations in areas affected by a declared natural disaster event. Applications for assistance must be lodged by the application close date outlined on the Declared Natural Disasters webpage.

Business Support

Disaster recovery assistance is available to businesses in eligible NSW local government areas that have been impacted by natural disaster. Visit Service NSW for details.
