Account linking

Every RAA Account is created for an individual.

Before you can access certain information and services in the RAA Portal, you must verify your identity. The RAA uses Service NSW to verify identity. For more information, visit our Verification of Identity page.

Once your identity has been verified, you can request access to an existing business account in the RAA Portal. This allows you to view applications, claims, and other information associated with the business's Financial Account.

If your request is approved, you will be able to act on behalf of the business and access information linked to that Financial Account.

Note: Access is only granted to verified individuals who are directly associated with the business. Third parties are not eligible for access.

Before you begin

Your Account Access Request cannot be assessed until your identity has been successfully verified. Before submitting an Account Access Request:

  • You must complete an identity verification process.
  • To do this, log in to the RAA Portal using the Service NSW Log In option (the red button on the Log in or Register page).
  • Once logged in, you will be assigned a Verification of Identity task to complete.

How to request access

  1. Log In to the RAA Portal.
  2. Open the Support tab.
  3. Submit a New Access Request form.

More information about this process is available on our Support requests page.

What happens next

After you submit your request, the RAA will review it.

You will receive written confirmation of the outcome once the assessment is complete.

Note on the primary contact and related individuals

If the RAA requires additional information to assess an application or claim (including where a credit check is required), a task will be assigned to the primary contact for that application.

The primary contact is nominated by the person completing the application and is the only person who will receive and be assigned tasks in the portal (for example, requests for further information).

If you are an individual related to the applying entity (such as a partner or shareholder) and have been successfully linked to the financial account in the portal, you may be able to view the application status and see whether information is outstanding. However, tasks will not be assigned to you for completion.
