Affinity with rural industries:
Having worked as a Rural Financial Counsellor for 11 years, I have worked with Farm Debt Mediations in Queensland and NSW, as well as experiencing farming situations at ground level.
I have owned a property in partnership, in Narrabri NSW, operating a stud Dorper sheep enterprise and cropping and have worked as a Management Accountant in a large agricultural company and Administration Manager in an abattoir.
My passion for agriculture extends further for the younger generation and, as a result of a project “The New Generation”, was named a finalist in 2016 RIRDC (Agrifutures) NSW/ACT Rural Women’s Award and a recipient of the 2022 Agrifutures Rural Women’s Acceleration grant.
In a mediation, I fully support satisfactory results for both parties as a result of good negotiations. Due to my life experiences, I understand the agricultural industry, which really does help in recognising situations within a Farm Debt Mediation.
