Special Disaster Relief Grant - NSW East Coast Severe Weather




Applications are now closed

In accordance with the Program Guidelines, the $75,000 Special Disaster Relief Grant for NSW East Coast Severe Weather from 18 May 2025 (AGRN 1212) is now closed to applications.

Claims for this program can be submitted via the RAA Portal until 4pm (AEST) on 4 September 2026.

Claim payment

Claims for eligible expenses must be submitted through the RAA Portal by 4 September 2026 at 4pm (AEST).

Note: If you provided valid tax invoices and proof of payment to verify eligibility in your initial application, you will need to resubmit these as a claim. Claims are assessed based on the GST‑exclusive amount of eligible invoices.

Before you start your claim

To ensure a smooth submission process, we recommend:

  • having all required documents scanned and ready to upload
  • using Google Chrome on a computer or laptop.
How to submit your claim

All claims must be submitted through the RAA Portal.

If you don’t already have an RAA Account, you will need to create one before you can access the portal. You can find step‑by‑step instructions for setting up an account on the RAA Portal page.

To submit your claim:

  1. Log In to the RAA Portal.
  2. Go to the Claims tab.
  3. Select Make a Claim.
  4. Have the following ready:
    • your RAA financial account number or your application contract number
    • tax invoices and proof of payment for all eligible expenses.
